The September 16th , 2004, the
diploma and the medal "Arts.Sciences.Letters " were awarded to M. ABBASI
in the presence of some Franco-Perses personality at the Senate.

If we are all together tonight at the Senate, it's to celebrate the gave
of the distinction of the Vermeil medal of the Academy "
Arts.Sciences.Letters " to our friend, Hassan ABBASI.
The Academy " Arts.Sciences.Letters " was crowned by the French Academy
from which it received the Thorbet price. This distinction recognized in
him the fervent promoter of the secular thought that he was in Iran ad
that he is still being through the world in the under is many activities.
He was born in Iran at Mashad on the July 23rd, 1957. At the young age
of 14 years old his pamphlets glaze the Iranian news paper's pages.
I am sure that he will tell you later how he had communicate with
Iranian news papers et probably by the way of his family who was since a
long time in politic. He shed in the theatre, realise many short movies
and at 17 years old, he write and publish his first book: «The
Ridiculous of our cited " what shows the lampoonist spirit that he could
have at 14 years old. He had perfected to become the man that we know
today and who is always behind the ideas of Liberty, Fraternity,
Equality and Secular which are important to our Republic.
At the age of 22 year old, he distributes his own news paper "Erchad"
that means, Conscience. Unfortunately after two years of life, it is
forbidden in 1981. Two years later, we find Hassan ABBASI in France and
at the beginning, the activity that he previously had in Iran is
developing, is reducing. At this day, he is the author of 70 books which
6 are in French. He wrote some 2500 articles on history, religion,
society, and the world...
He participate to 3000 hours of radio and at more than 100 TV shows. He
had realized and organised numbers of artistic shows for theatre or
cinema through Europe. Close than 200. His swarming spirit of
Inventiveness, his task to the concept development , the adverts
assisted by computer, the Fax-Service that he develop before the post
office, the Internet spot which is situated a little before the Internet
coffee place, cyber coffees and others. But always and today more than
ever, he celebrate every possible occasion his faith in the existence of
a big architect of the universe as he call him in his way and that we
all call in our way but who is still be the same. And the necessity of
the union between mans beyond the politics separations that too often
push on religion are given to risky interpretation to serve personal
interest.
Our vice president, Mrs Odette Aria who is vice president of the
National Collaborator Association of the Ministers and Parliamentarian
had been kind to ask me tonight to tell you some words that I am glad to
end in congratulate Hassan ABBASI for this new distinction that comes
rejoin others among the most prestigious and that reward an accomplished
part of his career at the service of the society.
Odette ARIA: President ABBASI like everyone knows, Roland Aria liked you
a lot, I'm proud of giving you the "Arts.Sciences.Letters" diploma
proposed by Roland and that you deserve.
General Paris: If I speak my dear David, Hassan, it's to congratulate
you. I am very happy for the distinction that honours you and I thank
you for invited us at this ceremony.

extend and I am united to everyone for congratulating you. I embrace you...
Roger TO-THANH-HIEN: I don't have a lot to say. But first, this medal
comes a little too late for you and it is really to our friend, Roland
Aria, our common friend who is not here today but we all think of him.
Congratulation to you for this medal.
Frédéric BARD: Dear Hassan, I congratulate you too, I join to this
concert of praise to tell you that it's extensively deserved in the look
of your great career which is behind you and ahead but I think that it
really was time for you to get such a diploma. You are almost an honour
member to our "Collective, Respect ". You had honoured us to come last
year. You know that we prepare our symposium on respect of other and
fight against communitarianism for December which stand at the National
Assembly and I think that you will intervene this year. And I will have
the pleasure to see you again and I renew in the name of "Collective ,
Respect " my congratulation.
Marine: I congratulate you and I am proud to be Iranian today because I
see one of my countrymen receive the "Arts.Sciences.Letters" diploma.
Lidia : Mr ABBASI, all my last Saturday of each month, I turn my radio
on. I can't resist listening to you. And like a lot of people, I spend a
sleepless night with you. I listen to really interesting thing.
Ariane PARIS: It's true that there are a lot of people who listen to the
Here and Now ". It's incredible, every time Henri is Hassan's guest, we
receive a lot of call and we can see that people listen well to his
programmes.
